Phenotype details	complaints of gradual reduction of vision in both eyes, no associated pain or discharge. born to healthy, non-consanguineous parents; medical record revealed ischemic heart disease, primary hypertension and cerebral stroke; a history of heavy smoking in the previous 20 years (20 cigarettes/ day); lensectomy performed in the right eye 2 years before; ophthalmic examination: reduced visual acuity: best corrected visual acuity right, left eye: 20/800, 20/40, respectively, on the right and left eye; dilated fundus examination, macula examination with slit-lamp biomicroscopy and optical coherence tomography: early age-related macular degeneration on the left eye and exudative AMD on the right eye; fibrotic choroidal neovascularization confirmed in the right eye by fluorescein angiography
